This week we are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week.

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2024 is the 17th annual celebration of apprenticeships
The week brings together everyone passionate about apprenticeships to celebrate the value, benefit and opportunity that they bring.
Over the years we have employed many apprentices across a variety of departments and levels. A lot of them continue to work at Barnsley Facilities Services to this day!

Please see below the shout outs received from colleagues who work with apprentices

Shout out to Olivia Jessop from the BFS HR team         Olivia joined BFS as our HR Apprentice in September last year. During the little time we’ve had getting to know Olivia, we have seen her confidence grow significantly. From leaving school to taking on the responsibilities of our busy HR team, she takes everything in her stride and is always willing to get involved and contribute her ideas. Olivia is a valued team member, supporting in all aspects of HR including Learning and Development, Engagement, Recruitment and much more. We look forward to supporting Olivia to develop further in her role.

Shout out to Natasha Esberger from BFS Admin Team       Shout-out to our Admin Apprentice at BFS. Since joining our team in September 2023 Natasha has settled in nicely, and quickly become a valued member of our team. She takes on tasks such as the daily Booking In / Out of Contractors to site, ensuring that they all keep up to date with their annual Inductions. She is a great help in all of the general admin duties within our office, and provides great support to the Car Parking Team. She is always on hand to update staff parking permit details, or to try to help with any access issues that staff have at the barriers! Keep up the good work Natasha, and keep smiling! 🙂
